From Your Plans To A Priced EstimateIn 24 Hours
Seven steps, every one of them documented on the drawing so you can trace any number back to the line it came from. Real Perth supply and labour rates, a draft you get to argue with, and an estimator on the end of the phone afterwards.
What Happens The Moment Your Plans Land
Nothing gets measured until the drawing is proven. The first job is to confirm the scale against a dimension we can verify, because a plan that has been printed to fit a smaller sheet reads short on every single line.
Then we read the set properly. Structural notes, finishes schedules, engineer details, anything that contradicts something else on the page. Those queries come back to you before we price, which is the difference between a variation you saw coming and one you wear.
- Scale verified against a known dimension
- Drawing conflicts queried before pricing
- Scope confirmed in writing, trade by trade

The Seven Steps
Same process on a single carport slab as on a tender package. The detail scales, the method does not.
- 01
You Send The Plans
PDF, DWG, a photo of a hand mark-up, or a council-approved set. Tell us the trades you want priced and the date you need it back.
- 02
We Verify The Scale
Before a single quantity is measured we check the drawing scale against a known dimension. A plan printed to fit an A3 sheet reads about 71 percent short, and that error runs through every line on the estimate.
- 03
We Read Every Note And Detail
Specifications, structural notes, engineer details, finishes schedules. Anything that conflicts between drawings gets flagged back to you before we price it, not after.
- 04
Colour-Coded Takeoff
Every measured item is marked on your plans in colour with a numbered legend. You can trace any figure on the spreadsheet back to the exact line on the drawing it came from.
- 05
Priced On Real WA Rates
Quantities are priced on current Perth supply rates and local subcontractor labour, not a national average. Rates are shown per line so you can swap in your own supplier pricing.
- 06
Draft Sent For Review
You get the draft first. Query anything that looks off, send us a rate sheet you would rather we used, or ask for a trade to be split out differently.
- 07
Final Pack Delivered
Marked-up plans, priced spreadsheet and a written scope of works. Ring us any time after delivery to talk a figure through.

What Lands In Your Inbox
Three files and a phone number. Everything is unlocked and editable, because the estimate belongs to you the moment it is delivered.
Marked-Up Plans
Your drawing set with every measured item colour-coded and numbered, ready to brief a subbie off.
Priced Spreadsheet
Quantity, unit, rate and subtotal on every line, grouped by trade. Unlocked, so you can edit rates or add your margin.
Written Scope Of Works
A plain-English summary of what is in and what is out. Send it straight to a subbie or attach it to your client quote.
A Phone Number That Answers
Ring the estimator who did the takeoff and walk through any line on it. No ticket system, no account manager.

Where This Differs From A Software Takeoff
Takeoff software measures what you point it at. It does not tell you the drawing is wrong.
| Our Process | A Typical Software-Only Takeoff | |
|---|---|---|
| Plan scale | Checked against a known dimension first | Trusted as supplied |
| Conflicting dimensions | Queried with you before pricing | Measured anyway |
| Rates used | Current Perth supply and subbie rates | National or default library rates |
| Traceability | Every line colour-coded on the drawing | Numbers only, no visual trail |
| Revisions | Draft issued for review first | Final issued straight out |
| Questions after delivery | Ring the estimator direct | Email support queue |
Your First Job Is Free
Not a sample, not a cut-down demo. A real job, priced properly, with the full three-file pack delivered the same way a paying client gets it.
If the output is not what you wanted, you owe nothing and there is nothing to cancel.
No Lock-In, No Minimum
One-off jobs stay one-off. Send us a single carport slab this month and nothing next month, and nothing changes.
Regular clients get the same deal. No minimum spend, no retainer, no exclusivity clause to sign.
Questions About The Process
Most residential jobs come back within 24 hours of receiving plans. Commercial and tender work depends on the scope, typically two to three days. We confirm the turnaround with you before we start so you can plan around it.
You receive three files: a colour-coded marked-up version of your plans, an unlocked spreadsheet with every quantity and rate, and a written scope of works. The spreadsheet is editable so you can adjust rates or add your margin before it goes to your client.
Yes. We issue a draft before the final so you can query anything first. Minor revisions are included on every job, and major scope changes are re-quoted as new work so you are never billed by surprise.
Send us your supplier quote or subbie rate sheet and we will use your figure instead. If we have priced something differently to you we will explain why, then you decide which rate goes in. It is your estimate, not ours.
Either. Plenty of builders send us a full residential set, and plenty of subbies send us one trade off a larger drawing package. Tell us what you want priced and we scope it that way.
Your first job is estimated at no cost and no obligation. It is a real job with the full deliverable pack, not a sample or a cut-down demo. If you do not like the output you owe us nothing and there is nothing to cancel.
